With over 25 years experience as a qualified nurse I have always felt there was something missing from ‘traditional’ medical models of care. Early in my career I trained as a massage therapist to seek other ways to help patients. Massage therapies helped provide some holistic care however I still believed there was much more to learn. Growing pressures on health care services and staff led to less and less nursing ‘time’ being able to be spent directly with patients. I felt strongly that this was detrimental to both staff and patients wellbeing.

I discovered Reiki in 2015 which showed me a way to support physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. My heartfelt interest lies in helping people find balance at times of ill health or emotional unease and also to offer help during times of transition to support the holistic wellbeing of my clients. I have had positive experiences of using reiki through times of mental health issues, aiding recovery following my own heart surgery and helping a family member’s journey through cancer.

I use meditation techniques and reiki together to create a relaxing environment that allows the energy of reiki to be directed to the areas of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels where it is needed most. I also offer bespoke meditation classes and can provide introductory programs to help develop positive meditation and mindfulness practices. Therapeutic writing courses are currently being developed.

I truly believe that complementary therapies can positively support and work well alongside traditional medical treatments and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or discuss individual treatments.

What is Reiki?

The word Reiki is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’.

Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice.

Founded in Japan in the early 20th Century by Mikao Usui. Reiki is a natural form of energetic therapy. DURING A Reiki SESSION THE CLIENT IS FULLY clothed. the practitioner placES THEIR hands in various positions on, or raised above, the body. Energy is then CHANNELLED to THE areas that require IT. Reiki is a complementary therapy & works well alongside traditional care. Reiki Practitioners should never offer a medical diagnosis & clients should always consult with their own doctor/s regarding any changes to medication ETC.


AFTER A TREATMENT YOU WILL bE ADVISED TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND AVOID ANY ALCOHOL. ALL TREATMENTS CAN FEEL DIFFERENT, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU MAY NEED AT THAT TIME. PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED FEELING CALM AND PEACEFUL, BUT EQUALLY SOMETIMES PEOPLE FEEL TEARFUL OR AGITATED. tHIS CAN STILL BE A POSITIVE SHIFT HELPING YOU TO MOVE ANY TRAPPED EMOTIONS OR STAGNANT ENERGIES.
